Will Oakland Lose The Raiders?

It just might happen—and they'd be playing in the same stadium as their division rival, according to jaw-dropping statements released by both the Raiders and San Diego Chargers.

The LA Times reported last night the teams will jointly pursue constructing a $1.7B NFL stadium in Carson. (Remember when we told you about the Carson thing?) The Times also reports both teams will continue to push for new stadiums in their current markets, and the Carson plan is a backup if deals with current cities can't get done. Above is a look at the Carson project, designed by MANICA Architecture. Don't panic yet Raiders fans: the team just might stay in the Bay, as owner Mark Davis told the San Jose Mercury News that a stadium in Oakland was "absolutely...still on the table." And Oakland public officials were told the Raiders' preference is to stick around town.
