Transbay Block 6 Begins Pre-Leasing

Transbay Block 6 Begins Pre-Leasing

The 32-story luxury apartment building on Transbay Block 6, Solaire, has begun pre-leasing units with May move-in dates. Its 409 units start at $2,880/month for a studio and go for as much as $8k/month for a two-bed, two-bath apartment. Amenities include a coffee bar, an office lounge for telecommuters, 24-hour concierge service and a self-serve dog-wash station, according to Curbed.

The project’s completion was originally scheduled for 2015, but was delayed in part by last year’s glass shortage. Floor-to-ceiling windows for 32 floors require a substantial amount of glass, it turns out. Views of the SoMa skyline are a major selling point for Solaire.

Solaire is owned by Chicago investment group Golub and its first venture in San Francisco, though it has also purchased neighboring Block 8 for a low-rise condominium project. [Curbed]
