Telecommuting Still Attractive, Could Save Commuters Thousands of Dollars

Placeholder

Americans spend an average of 40 hours each year stuck in traffic. While workers in all parts of the US can be affected, there are 10 cities in particular that are extremely difficult and time consuming, with San Francisco, New York and DC topping the list. Not surprisingly, telecommuting has become the most in-demand type of flexible work arrangement, according to a recent survey by FlexJobs. The company has compiled a list of the 10 US cities with the most taxing commutes and examples of the types of telecommuting jobs available for each. An added perk of working from home: an average telecommuter could save more than $4,500 in yearly car and gas expenses. [Flex]
