Tesla Gobbles Up Former Solyndra Plant

Tesla Motors just inked a deal for a 500K SF manufacturing building at 901 Page, just minutes from the Tesla Factory car plant in Fremont. Eating up the Page Technology Center represents the company's biggest growth spurt in Silicon Valley since buying the former NUMMI plant in 2010, reports the Silicon Valley Business Journal. The lease also takes up the remaining vacancy related to the implosion of solar panel-maker Solyndra in 2011. It'll be used for manufacturing and building more engineering labs as it ramps up production. JLL marketed the site with the tagline “Think Big." [SVBJ]
