Oracle Enters Hospitality With First Hotel

Oracle has bought the Marriott Hotel in San Mateo for $132M as part of its expansion into hospitality. It also will use the space to train direct-sales staff.

Oracle subsidiary Hospitality Investment purchased the property at South Amphlett Boulevard from Atrium Plaza, a company owned by Tarsadia Investments of Newport Beach, reports the San Francisco Chronicle. The hotel will be managed by Evolution Hospitality and remain under the Marriott franchise. [SFC]
