The convenience store Wawa is opening its new Center City flagship store on Sept. 18, ahead of schedule (the opening was originally slated for November). The opening appears to be timed to take advantage of Pope Francis' visit to the city this month. The company's 5k SF flagship location will replace the former Robinson’s luggage store at the corner of Broad and Walnut streets, and will include indoor seating, an amenity new to Wawa. [PBJ]
