Investors Hunt for Suburban Hotspots


Bread-and-butter deals are back, with investors digging deep in the suburbs to find properties in up-and-coming areas. Recently NAI Mertz repped the seller (Dergalcol LLC) of a 6k SF mixed-use building at 814-816 Haddon Ave in Collingswood, in an area known these days for its restaurants and cultural attractions. The building attracted attention because of a retail tenant in the building on a long-term lease, and the desirability of Downtown Collingswood, notes NAI Mertz's Jonathan Klear (right, with Barry Mertz), who, along with Scott Mertz, negotiated the sale to a private buyer.
