3675 Market St Breaks Ground As First Part of uCity Square

3675 Market Street, the first new building of the uCity Square project, broke ground on construction on Tuesday.

uCity Square is a collaborative development between the University City Science Center and Wexford Science & Technology. Upon completion, it's planned to cover 6.5M SF from Market Street north. 3675 Market is itself slated for 345k SF of lab, office and retail uses.

The Science Center is one of the planned anchor tenants, as is Boston-based CIC. CIC and Quorum, which is owned by the Science Center, are both incubators specializing in fostering collaboration and facilitating entry into the business world. Quorum will expand into 15k SF at the new building.
