Stateside Vodka Leases 34K SF Market East Office Space: The Philadelphia Deal Sheet
A homegrown Philadelphia hard liquor brand is moving its headquarters from the suburbs to Center City.
Stateside Brands, which sells vodka and canned mixed drinks, has signed an 11-year lease at National Real Estate Development’s 1100 Ludlow St., according to a press release from Cushman & Wakefield. It will occupy 34K SF across two floors.
Stateside has about 260 employees, half of whom are based in the Philly area, the Philadelphia Business Journal reported. The company plans to start with 60 employees in the new office and double that headcount over the next two to three years.
It is currently based out of a 10K SF space at 3800 Horizon Blvd. in Feasterville-Trevose. Stateside ended up there temporarily last year after the company started expanding rapidly.
“In our heart of hearts, we always knew we were a Philly company,” Chief Financial Officer Jim Romano told the PBJ. “The city of Philadelphia is where we wanted to be, what our vibe is, what our culture is.”
The company bought the naming rights for the South Philly venue formerly known as Xfinity Live this summer.
A Cushman team, including Jonas Skovdal and Brian Young, represented Stateside in the site search and lease negotiations.
