Outpatient facilities have become the cost-efficient darlingof healthcare real estate. But office building models that worked five to 10 years ago aren’t going to cut it because the industry is changing too fast. The days of doc in a box are almost over . That was one of the insights at our two-day conference on healthcare real estate late last week in Chicago. King of Prussia-based Array Healthcare Facilities Solutions principal practice area leader Noah Tolson (second from left) was on the outpatient care panel. He notes there’s been a surge in planning for new healthcare facilities in the last year or so, both as the economy recovers, and also anticipating the continuing implementation of Obamacare. Now that the election is over, these plans will very likely proceed. Noah shared the stage with Cushman & Wakefield’s Scott Mason, HSA PrimeCare’s John Wilson, and Anchor Health Properties’ Paula Crowley.
