In partnership with the White House and in support of South by South Lawn, EventsDC hosted the official after-party at the W Hotel’s POV Lounge. The celebration of spirited innovation and civic engagement brought together some of DC’s technically creative throughout the day, finally celebrating with a nice capstone overlooking the mall. We snapped ChildTrends’ Manica Ramos, Smith Commons’ Miles Gray, Executive Office of the Mayor’s Andrew Trueblood, and Events DC SVP Erik Moses.

The evening featured performances from nationally recognized artists like Grammy-nominated Young Guru and DJ/activist Kiran Ghandi.

Earlier in the day, SXSL launched its inaugural festival on the south lawn to promote its technology sector, innovative startup companies and creative talent, and to cultivate new relationships with DC and global business communities. Here, Events DC president/CEO Greg O’Dell is flanked by Events DC’s Ashley Forrester and Chinyere Hubbard.
