If you're at a shopping mall, there's a good chance Jack helped build it. He worked with the Mills Corp. on outlet malls Arundel Mills and Potomac Mills. He and Cooley also rep Macerich, owner of Tysons Corner Mall. He tells us that after working for Roger Staubach and graduating from Georgetown Law at the height of the recession in 1990, he started at McGuireWoods, working on troubled loans, bank REO properties and foreclosures. Since then, he's acquired a niche in headquarters leasing in NoVa, which he's done for Alarm.com, Politico, Nextel, Raytheon, Mandiant and Sunrise Senior Living. One mentor at McGuireWoods was Mark Dorigan, now the EVP of PN Hoffman, a Cooley client for which Jack's assisting on the redevelopment of the Maine Avenue Waterfront at the Wharf. He's since helped on his campaigns and was on the Governor's transition committee. Jack's wife, Terry, is a longtime community activist and this year's "Lady Fairfax."
