Carr Properties Rehiring John Schissel as CFO

John Schissel is coming back to Carr Properties as CFO, the same position he left in 2009 after CarrAmerica went public as Columbia Equity Trust, then merged with JP Morgan Asset Management. We snapped him (second from right) in 2008 with Jason Zeigler, Carr Properties founder and CEO Oliver Carr III, Cathy Jones and Bob Carr.

The company announced the hire this morning. John will join Carr's ranks in Q4 after transitioning from his current post as CFO and EVP of Invitation Homes in Dallas. Before joining Invitation, John had served as CFO (sensing a theme?) for BRE Properties in San Francisco before it merged with Essex Property Trust.

“John’s executive leadership skills, along with his financial, capital markets and operational expertise, will serve Carr Properties well as we continue to grow our platform in the coming years,” Oliver says.
