Another residential project is in the works for the area near the Wiehle-Reston Metro station.

Golf Course Overlook LLC has plans to convert a three-acre parcel off Sunset Hills Road into a high-rise residential building. The developer has filed a rezoning application with Fairfax County, and would need to have the zoning changed to Planned Residential Mixed-Use to make the project a reality, RestonNow reports.

The site is adjacent to the Hidden Creek Country Club, about one-third of a mile from the Metro station, and is home to an aging, three-story office building known as Golf Course Plaza. Plans call for the existing building and surface parking lot to be replaced with a single high-rise with three levels of underground parking. The new building would span more than 392k SF, and include 413 residential units.

This is the latest residential project in the works for the area near the Wiehle-Reston Metro station. Earlier this year, Wiehle Station Ventures submitted plans for a 260-unit residential building along Sunrise Valley Drive at Lincoln Commerce Park. [RN]
