Donohoe's Big Building Move

Last week, the Donohoe Cos literally picked up and moved this building on New York Avenue...

... to make way for this. As part of construction for the firm's new 240-key Homewood Suites hotel in Mount Vernon Triangle, it had to move the historic home shown above across the site. Donohoe says it took a while to inch the 111-year-old building to the far end of the site, but the final push was made last week. The historic building will be incorporated into the new hotel.
