The Human Resources Leadership Awards Accepting Nominations

The Human Resources Leadership Awards is an annual event that recognizes individuals within the discipline who demonstrate exemplary leadership, innovation, strategic vision, and business alignment within the DC-area HR community. Thats a mouthful, but what it boils down to, according to co-chair Chris Hanna of Ultimate Software, is talent. This years HRLA theme is Talent: The New Business Imperative. Chris says that its not as easy as it sounds; it takes the right people playing the right positions with the right skill sets in order to achieve. Nominations are due on April 1 (click here);the annual gala event, at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, takes place on June 11. Its the largest and only independent HR awards program in the DC area (Marymount University conducts the top-secret poll). Prizes include scholarships for students pursuing careers in HR.
