Shoppers Pack Downtown Nordstrom Rack

Usually we only see lines like this for voting. This morning, we dropped by the grand opening of Nordstrom Rack at the corner of 18th and L, where eager shoppers braved the rain to be among the first to enter. Nordstrom spokesperson Megan Garvey told us on site that as of 9:45am, 415 shoppers had passed through. She also tells us that Nordstrom Rack is in expansion mode, hoping to double its store count to more than 300 locations by 2016. Another local Rack will open in Columbia, Md.,next month, Megan adds.
