The best thing about the commercial real estate community is that…it loves to eat. I feel right at home. In fact, I took so many pictures the last few days of people eating and drinking I may need some extra issues this week, as well as some extra exercise.
Kitchen Duty. The stately Potomac home of Office Movers CEO John Kane, right, has about 200 rooms, but just like ordinary folk, President Bush's kid sister, Doro, found herself schmoozing at 11PM Saturday night in the kitchen, here also with Wachovia regional president Sam Schreiber. If you wonder why I include these people in a real estate publication, just ask yourself—where would your buyers and sellers be without bank financing? Where would your tenants and landlords be without office movers? And where would my real estate publication be without glamorous women in the pictures?
Help Yourself. For the sixth year in a row, DLA Piper's down home superlawyer Fred Klein, center, laid in several tins of eggs, sausage, and French toast in the back room of Ben's Chili Bowl on U Street in DC for about 30 of his superfriends, including Urban Realty Advisors' Bill Herman, left, and Rosenthal Properties' Glenn Rosenthal.
Judging Panel. This is not a police lineup, but just other ravenous attendees at the Kleinfest: from left, Land America's Stuart Levin,Newmark's Earl Segal, Vornado's Dan Karchem, Studley's John Kyle, and former GSA Building Commissioner and now just consultant and bon vivant breakfaster Joe Moravec.

UFO or Halo? What are those lights over the head of Forrester Construction's Eric Tievy, anyway?
