At our Urban Revitalization Summit & Schmooze event Wednesday, Fairfax Co. community revitalization director Barbara Byron (second from left)said that affordable housing is a crucial element of any urban revival project. Barbara says that 12% of all new units built in the county must be affordable, which is necessary keep a strong economy going by accomodating the full spectrum of employees.
Before the event, we caught up with M&T Bank's Lennie Friedman (with CSG Consulting's Wayne Hosking), who says the company is active in bridge and construction loans this year, across all sectors.
