Keurig Confirms Atlanta Plant

Lithia Springs residents may be waking to the smell of fresh-brewed coffee  (Can property values skyrocket based on a smell?)

Gov. Nathan Deal announced this morning that Keurig Green Mountain (formerly Green Mountain Coffee Roasters) will open a $337M Keurig K-cup plant in Douglasville for its cold brewing beverage system—via its JV with Coca-Cola. We first reported here that the company had its eyes on Atlanta. Keurig Green Mountain's Sandy Yusen (above) tells us the plant will be running in time to deliver the new product by 2015. (We know you want it now, but it's a slow-drip.)

Sources tell us the company is buying Centerpoint Properties' 585k SF warehouse at 7705 Staples Dr for an undisclosed sum. The company plans to host 550 jobs. Sandy says the company already has a plant director and is actively hiring there via its website.
