After the then-Reznick Group vacated almost all of Bethesda's 7700 Old Georgetown (also known as Garden Plaza) in 2011, owner BF Saul Company knew it had to give the 168k SF property a new look. (Not everyone appreciates the classic tastes of a gentleman like Dave Reznick.) After a full-scale modernization (LEED Gold standards) and help from CBRE leasing gurus Dave Machlin and Larry Thau, Garden Plaza is reborn. Dave tells us his team has closed 12 leases totaling 114k SF since renovations finished about a year ago. The success speaks the region's flight to quality. Tenants "came to the conclusion that this was the best value," Dave says of the property, which still has about 56k SF available.
