Many of you emailed in as fans of the funky design of NYU's DC building on L Street. Hickok Cole designed the project, and the firm's Yolanda Cole tells us the school was looking for a bold statement that would differentiate it from other satellite university buildings in DC, and also to illustrate NYU's "progressive edge." Those fins were fashioned to create a swoop that "alters your perception of the building as you move toward and away from it."
