With all of DC's construction over the past 15 years, it's hard not to wonder what we'll think of these buildings many years from now. Design experts have some strong opinions about some of the less appealing structures, Washingtonian reports. Here's a quick look at some of DC's newer buildings we might regret:

1. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Headquarters
A massive, bunker-like, concrete crescent.

2 & 3. Nationals Park and Washington Convention Center
Both will probably be renovated or replaced like other convention centers and stadiums.

4. The Exchange at Wheaton Station
The apartments tower over neighboring low-rises, and the supermarket has low ceilings and poor lighting.

5. US Capitol Visitor Center
Feels like the Marriott with awkward statues amidst humdrum architecture. But it does have two great skylights. [Washingtonian]
