Cushman & Wakefield has hired a military veteran to help lead its return-to-work efforts in the D.C. region.

The firm announced Monday it hired William "Bay" Dobbins, who previously served in the U.S. Marine Corps for more than two decades.

As operations manager, he will provide support for all service lines and administrative staff across the firm's D.C., Tysons and Bethesda offices. In the short-term, he is responsible for preparing the offices for employees returning to work.

Cushman & Wakefield has started its return to work at 25% capacity, and in April it released a guide to help companies safely return to offices. Dobbins is working on preparing signage, desk layouts and conference rooms for social distancing, and securing personal protective equipment.

He most recently served as director of future plans for the Marine Corps Training and Education Command. In this role, he led a team in drafting an organizational strategic plan for the command. He received his bachelor's degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and his master's degree from Missouri State University.
