Bisnow Scoop: Forest Park Medical Center Mixed-Use Project Gets a Name

Construction on the $135M Forest Park Medical Center at SH 45 and La Frontera Boulevard in Round Rock is well underway (with a spring '15 delivery scheduled), but Bisnow learned yesterday that the larger mixed-use project it’s part of will be named Auro. Developer Neal Richards Group CIO Harry Lake (right, with Chicago Title's Holden Heil) tells us the name comes from a mixture of Austin (Au) and Round Rock (Ro). Plus, if you look on the periodic table (that you haven’t looked at since high school) and Auro is the symbol for gold, Harry says. The 60-acre property will also feature retail, residential, hospitality, office, and entertainment to come in subsequent phases, he tells us.
