NYCREW’S WINTER COMES EARLY

Despite yesterday’s high of 65 degrees, we later joined NYCREW at The Aspen Club for its winter gala and Vanguard Awards. (The whole real estate community seemed to be in a festive mood last night—the Mortgage Bankers Association/YMBA and ULI also had holiday shindigs.) Here, Nancy Wood, LVM Group’s Jeannette Boccini, Pier Head Associates’ Sheri Best, Crowell & Moring’s Barbara Champoux, and Chicago Title’s Patricia Lopinski. Barbara, who won this year’s Vanguard award for mentoring, tells us that despite this economy, leasing is very active—even in the rare new construction going on.
A mix of this year and next’s NYCREW officers and directors: MetLife’s Shari Linnick, Fidelity National Title’s Isabelle Pullis, Wall Street Journal’s Deborah Falcone, Propark America’s Karla Baig,Sharon Khurdan, Swedbank’s Anna Hertzman, Cole Schotz’Wendy Berger, Prudential Douglas Elliman’s Faith Hope Consolo, Justdan Realty’s Karen Dome, Ferzan Robbins & Associates’ Liz Muskat, The Community Development Trust’s Joan Berkowitz, and Asset Preservation’s Pamela Michaels. (MIA: HSBC’s Kate Stentebjerg-Olesen and Eurohypo AG’s Jo Hastings.) Faith won an award for winning referrals; Jo for overall contributions, Liz for professionalism; and Sharon a special award.
Introducing 2010’s Radio City Rockettes. They still have to work on form and high kicks, but everyone’s been working so hard in real estate, there hasn’t been much time to practice (and unlike the toy soldiers, we’re proud to say that everyone’s still standing). Don’t worry, we still have a year until the next Christmas Spectacular.
