The Progressive National Baptist Conference has brought in two affordable housing developers to build a 100-unit project on the western portion of its Ward 7 campus.
The development team, including Atlantic|Pacific Communities, UrbanMatters Development Partners and Torti Gallas Urban, has filed plans for a five-story, 100-unit project, UrbanTurf reports.
The site, a 71K SF parcel on the corner of Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue and 50th Street NE, sits on the eastern edge of Lincoln Heights, a 21-acre public housing community for which DC is releasing a request for redevelopment proposals this summer. Thirty-five of the project's units would replace units of the nearby Richardson Dwellings, part of the Lincoln Heights community.
All of the development's 100 units would be set aside for those making up to 60% of area median income. That would include 56 one-bedrooms, 32 two-bedrooms, nine three-bedrooms and three four-bedrooms and feature amenities such as a rooftop terrace, a gym, a business center and a community room.
