Skyline International Development just got the green light from Huntsville City Council for its ambitious $500M redevelopment master plan for Deerhurst Resort that will include the creation of a new village centre (rendered above) with 150 hotel rooms, 45k SF of retail and 400 residential units. This represents the largest investment in Muskoka's history, the company says. Last month, Skyline announced plans to spend $10M on upgrades at the iconic Ontario resort, acquired in 2011, where it has since renovated all guest rooms and tripled revenues. The company is also developing a 162-unit lakeside lodge.
