Yorkdale Attracts David Yurman, John Varvatos, and More New Retailers

Yorkdale Shopping Centre yesterday announced 12 new retailers, including six first-to-Canada and three first-to-market retailers, lead by David Yurman, John Varvatos, Mulberry and White House Black Market. Yorkdale GM Anthony Casalanguidatold us yesterday it's now isdouble the size of the luxury stretch on Bloor Street. (We didnt bring our tape measure, but we believe them.) The 1.7M SF Yorkdale has become a primary location not just for luxury brands, but for retailers in general. Yorkdale rolled out a $220M, 145k SF expansion last November, and Anthony said it was saving those last few spaces for these A-Listers. The 100%-occupied centre now houses 250 tenants.
