In Cambridge, they're celebrating the new 70k SF SAIL store that will be opened next year in Tri-City Centre.The Canadian outdoor superstore will anchor a $25M revitalization of the Tri-City Centre. Cambridge Mayor Doug Craig joined execs from Canderel (owners of the site) to release the details for the redeveloped site on 19 acres of property on Holiday Inn Drive.
At yesterday's event, perhaps wearing clothes from SAIL, here's Canderel SVP Richard Diamond, councillor Rick Cowsill, councillor Donna Reid, mayor Doug Craig, MPP Rob Leone, and SAIL prez Tony Mignacca. Canderel's plans for the redevelopment is one of the important recent economic development stories in the Cambridge and Waterloo region, certainly one of the largest developments in Cambridge's north end.
