This Morning's Convention Centre Announcement

The Metropolitan Toronto Convention Centre this morning announced the formal completion of its three-year, $29M renovation. That includes an extensive kitchen renovation (14K SF), improvements to meeting rooms in the north building, and redesigned conference rooms in the south. MTCC CEO Barry Smith says in a statement that the objective was to remain competitive as a meeting and convention facility. One of the other features is a better culinary experience for consumers (we will do exhaustive taste testing and report back)--creativity in the menus is big factor in having a competitive edge. MTCC has hosted approximately 15,000 events in its 29-year history.
