Colliers' Patrick Egan is sure more self-storage deals are coming down the pike. He and David Hoffman (pictured), along with colleague Tim Bristow, just brokered StorageMart's acquisition of the 49k SF, 501-unit self-storage facility at 3 Morrow Rd in Barrie from Alliance Self Storage. The team has spent years helping companies like StorageMart with site selection, knowing full well that the self-storage facility market is underserved in Canada."Companies like this are really focusing on bedroom communities like Barrie, Peterborough, and Kitchener Waterloo to grow into," he says. (Bedroom communities probably have a few extra mattresses they need to store somewhere.)
