CBRE has as many wins at the Air Canada Centre as the Leafs this season. It's also the uncontested CRE champ until the 29th Oxford Cup is played in November. Yesterday's 7-3 game was closer than the score indicates, but CBRE had too many top producers and too much goaltending for Avison Young's challengers. After Brad Walford scored twice in the last minute of the first period to make it 3-0, things were remarkably even. "We beat a good team, but I never had any doubts," CB coach Andrew Wright said at Real Sports, where players and 200-plus spectators took post-game refreshment. There were no power outages and no Beyonce. Several folks want to thank organizers, especially Oxford's Geoff Rayner.
