West Brickell: The Next Frontier?

As Brickell goes, so goes West Brickell, according to Sterling Equity Realty Commercial’s Mika Mattingly, characterizing West Brickell one of the next frontiers for developers and investors. Recently she repped the sellers of two small multifamily properties totalling 10 units at 221-233 SW 12th St. Cumbria Apartments, repped by Gabriel Reategui Real Estate & Investment, was the buyer. The parcel was part of a larger assemblage, Mika says, allowing the buyer to acquire almost half a city block in West Brickell.

The buyer clearly recognized the opportunity and submitted a purchase price above asking after only two days on the market, she explains. With Mary Brickell Village and the completion of Brickell City Centre in 2015, the area’s on the up-and-up. Other projects underway in West Brickell include Brickell View Terrace, Broadstone Brickell Lofts, City Crossings, and La Parc at Brickell.
