The foundation piles and seawall for the full-service marina have been completed and the overwater dock system is under construction at Marina Palms Yacht Club & Residences. Here's the part we like best: Kearns Construction Co began clearing the yacht basin late last year, pulling from the water sunken boat hulls; a 50-ton, submerged boat lift; and more than 100 pilings dating back to the former marina’s heyday in the 1970s and ’80s. Kearns then dredged some 2,000 cubic yards of sand and silt from the sea floor.
