Mayan Sees Mid-Range Hospitality Opportunity

What’s missing in Miami’s hotel market? Mayan Properties principal Boaz Ashbel says it's mid-range properties, since there’s demand from both commercial and leisure visitors for comfortable places to stay that aren’t priced for luxury (which Miami has a lot of). Recently Mayan broke ground on a 151-room Hampton Inn & Suites at Biscayne Boulevard and NW 35th St, near both the mixed-use Midtown Miami and the Design District. “We’re bullish on Midtown Miami, which is seeing a tremendous level of residential development and commercial activity this cycle,” says Boaz.
