We knew Walmart encourages RVs to spend the night, but how often do helicopters land in its parking lots? One showed up for a recent store opening in North Lauderdale. The 185k SF supercenter replaced a 20-year-old store about half that size a few blocks away. Walmart senior director of community affairs Steven Restivo tells that it was important to the retail giant stay in North Lauderdale, so it would be able to offer groceries to its existing customer base.
