Nordstrom Goes New York!

Uber-popular Nordstrom Rack, which moved up Pine Street for better exposure earlier this year, is expanding again: This week it revealed plans to open Racks at Northgate in November. That's not all: A Nordstrom (not a Rack) is also in the works in NYC. This won't be just any store—plans call for a seven-story, 300k SF mega-store, which would put it on par with Manhattan's fellow higher-end retailers like Saks and Bloomingdale's. The company is expected to make a formal announcement regarding its New York plans today in the company of NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg.
