| The enchanting Heronswood Gardens, the Giverny of Puget Sound, was sold to the S'Klallam Native American tribe in a Sheldon Good & Company auction earlier this month. The nursury, which comes with a 15-acre estate built up by horticulturalist Dan Hinkley and his partner, Robert Jones, for two decades, includes the nursury's breeding lines, trademarks and marketing materials, though whether seller W. Atlee Burpee & Co. threw in a free lifetime supply of weedkiller is unknown. The sale, which was for an undisclosed sum, is expected to close in July. |
