The owners of Serra Center, a 45-year-old strip mall in Milpitas, are in the very early stages of redevelopment plans for the 16-acre property that would include 110k SF of retail and anywhere from 500 to 1,000 housing units.
Located near the crossroads of Highway 237 and I-880, the development team could be preparing a formal proposal after providing an early glimpse to the Milpitas council last week.
Owners are working with Archespace on design and Argonaut Co on the entitlement process. Redevelopment would be for only 10 of the property’s 16 acres at the intersection of Serra Way and South Abel Street. [SVBJ]
