CBRE Arranges $1.15B Sale Of Senior Living Portfolio

CBRE Capital Markets just finalized the massive sale of a 19-property senior living portfolio from Vintage Senior Living to Welltower for $1.15B ($445k/unit). All of the communities, except one in Tacoma, WA, are in California.

The 2,590-unit senior housing portfolio includes independent living, assisted living and memory care units. The properties are concentrated in core markets in Northern and Southern California, including Greater Los Angeles and San Francisco. Vintage San Ramon is pictured above.

Welltower partners Senior Resource Group will manage 11 properties, Sunrise Senior Living will operate seven and Silverado will be in charge of one.

CBRE EVP Matthew Witlock, along with EVP Lisa Widmier and vice chairman Aron Will, repped the sellers, affiliates of Vintage Senior Living and their private investment partners.

CBRE has booked $3.6B in deals year-to-date, already exceeding its $2.8B in transaction volume last year.
