SurveyMonkey Headed to Bay Meadows

SurveyMonkey has signed a lease for about 210k SF at Bay Meadows in San Mateo. The company has called 101 Lytton St in Palo Alto home for a little over a year but major growth has spurred a need for new digs. SurveyMonkey struggled with expansion options in Palo Alto before signing the lease that will be roughly four times the size of its current home, the Silicon Valley Business Journal reports. The company will be the first commercial anchor at Bay Meadows, the former horse racetrack that has undergone a master planned redevelopment. SurveyMonkey was founded in 1999 as a simple online survey tool. It has since been acquired by a private equity consortium and disclosed revenues of $113M in 2012. [SVBJ]
