Kyocera Industrial Ceramics Corp broke ground on a $10M expansion of its manufacturing operations at 5713 NE Fourth Plain Blvd in Vancouver, WA. The new construction will expand Kyocera’s existing 40k SF facility to 58k SF, and could create 30 new jobs on site over the next few years.
Kyocera companies have manufactured in Vancouver since 1986, the Portland Business Journal reports, with its ceramics used in many high-performance applications (such as LCD modules, pictured), with roles in the semiconductor, aerospace, automotive, medical and renewable energy markets. [PBJ]
