Plans were revealed last week for a Canopy by Hilton in Portland’s Pearl District. The hotel, which will sit on the corner of 9th Avenue and Northwest Glisan, is set to open in fall 2017. It will include 153 guest rooms and will offer about 2,800 SF of meeting space. It will be Portland's first Canopy hotel.
Hilton and the Buccini/Pollin Group are bringing the hotel to the changing neighborhood that was once home to abandoned warehouses and railyards. They’ve taken out $28M in construction loans and raised another $15M in preferred equity thanks to Phillips Realty Capital and EB5 Capital, respectively. [HNR]
