Scottsdale Hotel Gets $22M Makeover

Chaparral Suites in Downtown Scottsdale is undergoing a $22M renovation to become an Embassy Suites by Hilton. The makeover will be comprehensive at the 15-acre property, from the lobby to the guest rooms to the exterior. The cost of renovations makes the project the largest resort renovation in Scottsdale, the Phoenix Business Journal reports. Upon completion, there will be a new mural of Camelback Mountain at the hotel; 312 guest suites will be updated, as will the pools; and 60k SF of meeting space will be revamped. [PBJ]
