ULI TO DIE FOR

We sat riveted last week during Philadelphia Urban Land Institute's Transformative Regional Game Changers event at The Union League. But who wouldn't be with a panel like this: SB Friedman Development Advisors president Stephen Friedman, Brandywine Realty Trust CEO Gerard Sweeney, Philly Mayor Michael Nutter, Bucks County Commission chair Robert Loughery, and William Penn Foundation president Jeremy Nowak. Among the city's “game changers,” the panel cited the Navy Yard, the convention center, and the airport expansion as big ones. Can anyone guess who's in that portrait?
In fact, the mayor called the Navy Yard redevelopment the “greatest turnaround of any Navy Yard in the US” (so watch out for giant ships making U-turns). “We should have the best waterfront in America,” he says.
