Cheer Up, Singles

Good news this Valentine's Day. Philly just made Zillow’s top 10 list of the best metro areas for singles. It compiled the list according to number of unmarried adults (53.8%), disposable income, and date spots per capita (think restaurants, bars, museums, parks). San Francisco was No. 1 (but that seems like a long way to drive for a date, no matter how lonely you are). In other rankings, a recent GoBankingRates survey found that Philadelphia offers one of the lowest APYs for savings accounts, coming in at No. 92 (at 0.050%) for the 100 most populated US cities. (Perhaps you'll find better returns with a rich single.) Tell chris.mote@bisnow.com your favorite place to bring a date and we'll publish a list of our favorites here.
