Education Development Boom

San Bernadino Community College District awarded Swinerton Buildinger OC and LA a $51M contract to build San Bernadino Valley College’s new gym, to be designed by HMC Architects and be LEED Silver. Swinerton education project exec Bonnie Martin tells us it’s part of a major rise in educational development. “We’re definitely seeing an upswing in movement in both the K-12 and the community college market this year, and fully expect that momentum to continue,” she says. The trend could be partially attributable to a more favorable bond market, local bond passage, and the success of previous programs in each of the districts, Bonnie explains.
