Texas Developer Wants Apartments Near Angel Stadium

Texas-based JPI/TDI Cos is in the process of acquiring more than 17 acres near Angel Stadium to develop an 826-unit apartment property. The proposed development, Jefferson Stadium Park, would also include 10k SF of ground-floor retail. Prologis currently owns the site, and won approval in 2007 to build 1,208 apartments, plus 100k SF of office and 50k SF retail, according to the Orange County Register, but it never happened. The development would be near JPI's Jefferson Platinum Triangle, which got underway in January. [OCR]
