Over the weekend Slate Property Group filed plans with the city for an eight-story 113-unit residential building at 325 Lafayette St in Clinton Hill, which would require tearing down a Key Food grocery store, now on the site. However, Slate’s said the Key Food supermarket may fill the 15k SF ground-floor retail space, even though the city planning department’s ban on new retail space over a big swath of the neighborhood, NY YIMBY reports. Residents in the area have raised concerns about losing the store. Slate says the new development will be 80/20 (80% market rate rental, 20% affordable). Aufgang Architects is designing the project.
